National Sales Training Manager

Nick Scali is looking for a motivated, inspiring and passionate retail sales and product training specialist. This role will have you contributing to the training and development of all store management and sales teams. You will be responsible for the development of training programs, conducting training sessions locally and interstate and coaching and mentoring Store Managers to help them exceed sales targets, grow successful showrooms and develop their careers.

An important part of this engaging role will be partnering with the Design and Purchasing Teams to ensure a product knowledge culture is embedded in the business. Selling and service skills along with exceptional product knowledge are the lifeblood for creating optimal customer experiences at Nick Scali Furniture. The National Sales Training Manager will have full responsibility for partnering with the National Retail Manager to enhance showroom team potential and performance.

 

 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Reporting through to the National Retail Manager, you will be responsible for driving national sales results. This major responsibilities for the role are to:

  • Enhance Nick Scali's reputation for customer service excellence through development of industry leading sales and service programs and initiatives
  • Drive a customer-centric and highly proficient professional sales culture through all stores
  • Provide training, coaching and individualized development sessions to showrooms to promote customer satisfaction and business growth
  • Develop frequent timely and engaging product knowledge communication and learning programs in conjunction with the Design and Buying Teams
  • Develop induction programs to ensure new Sale Consultants and Managers reach full sales and service competence within established time-frames
  • Partner with Regional and National Retail Management to provide feedback and evaluation of team competence and performance
  • Provide feedback regarding skill gaps in store teams and work with Regional Manager to develop tailored coaching to strengthen team performance

We also need someone with:

  • Exceptionally strong presentation skills
  • Nationally recognized learning and development qualifications
  • The ability to create engaging content that inspires and motivates
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proven sales training program design, delivery and evaluation experience
  • Ideally an understanding of retail analytics and KPI management
  • Experience designing & implementing induction and om-boarding programs
  • An outcome and results orientation
  • Ability to travel frequently (including a valid driver’s licence)
