Nick Scali is looking for a motivated and efficient full-time Accounts Clerk.
Nick Scali Furniture was established over 50 years ago and is now one of Australia's largest importers of quality furniture. Nick Scali sources its products from around the world. It imports directly from some of the largest and most respected manufacturers globally. In excess of 4,000 containers annually are brought to Australia by Nick Scali.
An exciting opportunity for an experience Accounts Clerk has become available in our Head Office in Lidcombe, and within a busy and fast paced Finance team. Reporting into the Financial Controller, as the Accounts Clerk you will have ownership of your own ledger of accounts.
Your responsibilities will include:
§ Overseas payments
§ Local payments
§ Creditors reconciliation
§ Reconciling the debtors ledger
§ Receipting and allocating cash from the customers
§ Processing Credit note
§ Posting journals into the system
As a successful applicant, you will have experience in a growing business, as well as:
§ Good all round accounts experience
§ Liaise professionally with creditors and customers
§ Enjoy team work and meeting light deadlines
§ Hard working, reliability
§ High level problem solving capabilities
§ Strong Microsoft Office skills (ie. excel, word, outlook) and be able to quickly learn industry specific software
§ Exposure to foreign currency transactions and knowledge of the furniture retail industry would be advantageous
The successful applicant will have a good understanding and experience of the overall business, and be able to use that knowledge to help improve processes in both their role and the Company.
